STEAM® SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT

This Steam Subscriber Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal document that explains your rights and obligations as a subscriber of Steam from Valve Corporation.

  1. REGISTRATION AS A SUBSCRIBER

You become a subscriber of Steam by completing the registration of a Steam user account. This Agreement takes effect as soon as you indicate your acceptance of these terms. You may not become a Subscriber if you are under the age of 13.

A. Contracting Party

For any interaction with Steam, your contractual relationship is with Valve.

B. Hardware, Subscriptions; Content and Services

As a Subscriber, you may obtain access to certain services, software, and content available to Subscribers or purchase certain Hardware.

C. Your Account

Your Account may include billing information you provide to Valve. You must keep your login credentials confidential.

D. Acceptance of Agreements

Your order through Steam is an offer to Valve to agree on the delivery of the ordered Subscriptions, Content, and Services.

E. Payment Processing

Payment processing related to Content and Services and/or Hardware is performed by Valve Corporation or Valve GmbH.

  1. LICENSES

A. General Content and Services License

Valve grants you a non-exclusive license to use the Content and Services for personal, non-commercial use.

  1. BILLING, PAYMENT AND OTHER SUBSCRIPTIONS

A. Payment Authorization

You authorize Valve to charge your payment method for Subscriptions.

  1. ONLINE CONDUCT, CHEATING AND AUTOMATION

You agree to comply with the Steam Online Conduct Rules. You may not create or assist in creating Cheats.

  1. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

Valve assumes no responsibility for third-party content available on Steam.

  1. USER GENERATED CONTENT

You grant Valve a worldwide, non-exclusive right to use, reproduce, and modify your User Generated Content.

  1. DISCLAIMERS; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY; NO GUARANTEES

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VALVE DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY FOR STEAM, THE CONTENT AND SERVICES.

  1. AMENDMENTS TO THIS AGREEMENT

Valve may amend this Agreement at any time in its sole discretion.

  1. TERM AND TERMINATION

A. Term

The term of this Agreement commences on the date you first indicate your acceptance of these terms.

B. Termination by You

You may cancel your Account at any time, but no refunds will be granted.

C. Termination by Valve

Valve may restrict or cancel your Account at any time if you breach the terms of this Agreement.

  1. APPLICABLE LAW/JURISDICTION

This Agreement shall be governed by the law of the State of Washington, U.S.A.

  1. MISCELLANEOUS

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Valve regarding your use of Steam.
